One of my friends and I recently started a Bunco group. This purposefully gives us a girls night out each month. And who doesn’t need a night playing a game that requires absolutely no thought!? It was my night to host everyone earlier this week, and we ended up having a great time.
Hosting it actually slipped my mind until the day before when my friend reminded me she would see me the next day. There may or may not have been a few seconds of complete panic as I realized that seven girls could have easily shown up on my doorstep as a surprise if it weren’t for her. Thankfully, we had friends over the week before, so the house was still in good shape. Whew!!!
Since I was running short on time, I tried to come up with some easy snacks for everyone. Which ended up being a Tuscan Olive Cheese Ball (it was a mix… so there’s no recipe I can give you), Brie cheese, and Ritz crackers. Swanky right?
I wish I had pictures to show you, but really there wasn’t that much to show. Two platters of cheese and crackers and glasses of water. I originally planned to cut up some cantaloupe to serve, but I didn’t get home until fifteen minutes before everyone arrived. So there just wasn’t time.
Earlier in the afternoon after I had prepared the cheese platters, I got to thinking… I bet there are some cute Bunco party ideas on Pinterest. And wouldn’t you know… there are!
Unfortunately, there weren’t any that I could incorporate in five minutes with little effort, but there were a few that I felt like I might could manage next go around… given the circumstances are right. I thought I would share a few of the finds with you in case you are planning any Bunco parties of your own.

Ok, this one I think almost anyone can handle. Instead of a cheese ball, make a square. Then use olives to make the dots on the die.

This cute money jar is available on Etsy. I improvised and used and empty hurricane vase to collect money in.

And what sweets-loving girl wouldn’t like some Bunco cookies? These look fairly easy. But I don’t have a ton of experience in the cooking/baking department, so I don’t really know.
These are just a few ideas for Bunco night. Whether you incorporate them or not, I am sure everyone will have a great time.
Do you have any Bunco party ideas to share? What do you like to do for a girls night out?

I’ve never played Bunco, but I used to work with a lady that played every Monday. It seems fun! For our ladies nights we usually meet at someone’s house and watch tv or a movie/ chit chat and drink wine all night. We’ve occasionally had craft nights too.
Watching movies sounds like fun! I haven’t been to one but I have heard of people having Pinterest parties. Everyone brings the supplies needed to make something they have found on Pinterest. I think this would be a lot of fun!
This makes me want to throw a bunco party! How fun!
