Making Pinning Dreams Come True

Does anyone else get a little pin happy on Pinterest but never seem to follow through with creating/cooking/designing what they have actually pinned.  This is definitely something I struggle with.  Even though there are no support groups (that I know of yet) that meet for this problem there is the Pinterest Challenge hosted by Sherry from Young House Love and Katie from Bower Power.

This Summer they have teamed up with Kate from Centsational Girl and Michelle from Ten June for an all out DIY Pinterest Linky Party next Tuesday.

Last Fall for the Pinterest Challenge I added a little puff to Noah’s room and for the Winter Challenge I turned our yard sale dining table in to an instant beauty that also doubles as a chalk board for Noah me.

With less than a week to go it’s time I kick it in high gear and start crafting around here.  When I read about the party this past Tuesday I started thinking/dreaming of what I should do by July 10.  My first though was something for the kitchen… and then something for the bathroom.  But after running all my ideas past ML he pointed out that they all sounded like ML projects and since our life has been so crazy busy lately he didn’t have time to devote to them yet.

So after thinking for a while (on a smaller project scale) I decided to go ahead and make something I had originally planned to do at the beginning of the Summer… make Noah some toys.  Babies are fascinated with tags and Noah is no exception.  Someone got super creative and developed a line of toys with nothing but tags all over them.

Such a genius idea!  So after seeing them in the store one day I thought, “I bet I could make  a tag toy.”  After a quick Google search my suspicions were confirmed.

So this weekend I am dragging the sewing machine out of hiding and setting to work to create Noah some tag toys!  I love the idea of handmade toys and hope they turn out well. I’ll meet you back here next week to let you know how everything goes.  And if you want to join in the fun, pick your own Pinterest pin to tackle and make your pinning dreams become a reality.
