Fall Bridal Shower Tablescape

Tomorrow night I am hosting a wedding shower for one of the girls in my Bunco group.

It’s just a small get together for the girls in the group but I want it to be something special for the bride-to-be. Just like with my Fall mantel I worked with what I had minus the pumpkins I purchased last week.

The silver table runner I have used for years and used to be a staple in my table decor until we refinished the table earlier this year. Because it is silver I thought it added a touch of elegance to the table and would be perfect for the occasion.

The repetition of orange works works to unify the carnival glass and pumpkins scattered along the table. For the shower I plan to fill the plates and bowls with fruit and cheese making them easily accessible by being in the center of the table.

One of the things I love most about our Casfina everyday dishes is they go well with so much and work for every season. Fall… for instance in this case. These are our everyday salad (or we don’t have much leftover but if I put it on a small plate no one will notice) plates. They work perfectly with all the orange on the table and should be the perfect size for some light (or heavy if anyone decides to bring chocolate) munchies.

The monogramed napkins are from our rehearsal dinner. I like to pull them out for special occasions. The wooden napkin ring brings a little bit of nature to the table and works well with the Fall theme.

The cute little glasses I picked up for a dollar a piece a couple of years ago at a church yard sale. I couldn’t pass up a great deal like that.

Since we have a chandelier above our dining room table I try to avoid making the centerpieces too tall. I don’t want it to look like I am trying to build the Tower of Babel up to the ceiling. This simple bowl filled with pumpkins remains low but has lots of color in for visual weight to really anchor the center piece to the table.

The table is all set and ready for the party. Now I just need to focus on the food. We don’t want the bride-to-be.. or the guests to go hungry!

What have you been transforming for Fall lately? Do you have any Fall dinner parties coming up? Which is your favorite part of party planning…. cooking or decorating? I’ll be honest mine is decorating. I don’t mind the cooking but I would much rather be eating.

Thank you! It’s been kinda fun planning an impromptu party.

P.S. You impressed me by spelling my name correctly. Normally, even with my name spelled out clearly people still manage to screw it up. With the most popular being: Krystal, Krysta, Krystie. At this point in life I respond to all of them but it always make me feel good when someone takes the time to see how it is spelled.

Me too! I wish I could have bought fifty of them. I would love to see them scattered all over the house. Little bitty snippets of Fall.

I love your tablescape! I especially like how you don’t have anything tall down the middle. I hate it when people make centrepieces so big that you can’t see the people sitting across from you! This one is actually functional!

Yay! Thankfully my sister was able to figure out what was wrong with it just by looking at my webpage. I somehow broke part of the code when I inserted the top banner advertisement. I reinserted it last week after WordPress updated and that’s when it messed up. I’ll have to try and insert correctly later.

How cool! The silver table runner looks great–I never would have thought to use it with the fallish elements, but it looks wonderful and so festive! Just right for a bridal shower.

Thanks so much for joining Grace at Home! I really appreciate it.
