Sightseeing

While we have been busy bonding as a family we have also been sightseeing.  Hong Kong is amazing.  It is a beautiful city with so many different areas to explore.
The other night we took a tour of the harbor on the Star Ferry.

It’s the perfect way to see the city skyline as well as light show that is illuminated from the buildings each night.

We also explored Kowloon Park.  It is just a short walk from our hotel and provides free entertainment for the little ones with a playground and animals.

Monday we left the busy Hong Kong city life and went to the beach!  It was a nice change of pace and a perfect little day getaway.

It was hard to believe this was less than an hour away from our hotel.  Noah was more than excited about playing in the sand and spent half an hour running around in it.  She is such a free spirit!
Esther has been to the beach before but was a little timid this time so she and I sat on the steps and watched Noah and ML play after we each briefly touched the water and had our shoes soaked by a mini wave.
The beach area known as Stanley also had a market and several local restaurants and shops.  We are pretty sure this is a vacation destination for the European rich.  It was the first time since coming to Hong Kong that we had seen so many Europeans… and their dogs, and high priced cars.

Stanley was originally a fishing village with some local fisherman remaining but definitely more of a vacation spot now.

Isn’t it gorgeous?
Now back to sightseeing…
