It has been a week since I last posted… it was nice to take a mini break from writing and technically I still am. I’m just checking in to let you know we are still breathing over here. For the most part we have been hibernating in the house, bonding. The girls are continuing to work on their life skills in the areas of sharing and cleaning up. ML went back to work last Thursday after three weeks off and I managed to survive the day alone quite well. 🙂 Esther still has a ton of anxiety so we were surprised at how well she handled the day away from Daddy. We gave here a picture of him to hold during the day so that when she asked about Daddy or said she missed him I could direct her to look at her picture of Daddy. It worked!
This past weekend we enjoyed the Spring like weather before the winter blast and spent some time outside with the girls’ new toys… a bicycle and scooter.
This was by far the highlight of their weekend. Esther was so excited about her bicycle and helmet that she wore her helmet around the house for a good part of the weekend and is absolutely ecstatic that her bicycle has princesses on it.
After a day of trying, Noah finally figured out how to push off with her Dora scooter without her heel hitting the back wheels and before long she will be picking up some speed on it. They are excited about having some wheels to play outside with with all the other kids in the neighborhood.
This week I am prepping for Esther’s birthday. She turns three this Sunday and we are planning a really low key party for her but she is already looking forward to it. I just hope I finish her present on time and look forward to sharing it with you later. In the meantime, what do you have planned for this week? Are you one of the few that has a Spring Break coming up? Are you covered in snow right now or getting a rare opportunity to enjoy some warm weather. Our temps have been dropping all day. Where are you sunshine???

Thomas got a balance bike for Christmas that he rides all over the house but his favorite part is definitely the helmet!! 🙂 So glad to hear y’all are adjusting well! Hopefully we can get all the little ones together this summer when y’all finish cocooning! We both have new ones to meet!
We are BURIED in snow in northern Iowa! I think there was already 15-ish inches on the ground, and now we are getting a couple more right now. I’m ready for spring.
LOVE the picture of Michael Luke spinning the girls around! I still can’t believe you’re a mommy to TWO girls now! Well I can, but you know! Can’t wait to meet her!
