Essential Oils & Supplements During Pregnancy

I’ve only had the privileged of being pregnant once.  It was a fun time.  It was fun watching my stomach grow to proportions that I didn’t even know were possible.  It was fun feeling Noah kick inside of me and bump my insides each time she had hiccups.  It was fun knowing that God was using me to grow another human being who he desires will worship him and bring him glory.

Let’s be honest though, pregnancy comes with it’s own set of discomforts and nutritional challenges.  One thing that ML and I discovered while I was pregnant was that lots of medications were off the table.  If I got sick, I just had to get over it for the most part.  That sounds fun, right?

The next thing we discovered is the lack of regulation over vitamins and supplements.  I would like to rest assure that the fish oil capsule I am ingesting each day is truly a FISH OIL… and a good one at that!

I was pregnant before we discovered Young Living Essential Oils.  Which meant for the most part I had very few options when my body was feeling less than stellar. Thankfully, my OB/GYN did recommend pre-natal supplements that were quality tested so we were able to rest assured there.  If I ever do it again though I will have my trusty bag of oils by my side and will use Young Living Supplements. Why? Because of their Seed to Seal Process.  Each oil and supplement is quality tested and I know if it doesn’t meet their standards they aren’t going to use it.  THAT’S HUGE!

Below you will find a list of essential oils and supplements that may offer support during pregnancy.  Because so many products are listed I didn’t provide a description of each one.  I do however encourage you to look up the product descriptions on Young Living’s website. I’m not a doctor though, so check with yours before adding these to your routine.  I also encourage you  to do your own research.  Feel confident in how you choose to care for your body during pregnancy.  It’s your time to shine!

KidScents Collection

Sometimes when you fall in love with something new it can still be a bit intimidating. The same is true with essential oils and children.  As parents we love an protect them and a growing realization of many parents today is that we need to be more aware of what we are actually using on or around our children.

Products today contains all types of chemicals and toxins that we can’t pronounce and many of them we don’t even know what they are.  It’s too overwhelming to even begin to think about figuring out what each one is intended for AND if it’s something we want our children to be exposed to.

I understand.  Noah came along shortly after my health was radically changed because of diet.  With my sense of new found freedom I wanted to know how else my family could change the way we care for ourselves.

Simply put… it was time to get holistic about health.
