Transformed Sundays: Little Drummer Boy

Transformed Sundays… Christmas Edition

The other day as I was driving to Whole Foods Little Drummer Boy came on the radio.  It is one of my favorite Christmas songs.  Every time I hear it it makes me think of my grandmother because it was her favorite too!  When I was younger I liked it because it was so much fun singing, “pa- rum pa pa-rum”.  But now that I am older I love Little Drummer Boy because of the meaning… very similar to the story of the widow’s mite who gave all she had to God.

The little drummer boy had nothing to offer.  Nothing!  Except for the gift of music that God had blessed him with.  So he gave it all… all his talent to God as a gift.  That my friend is what God desires of us!  For us to bring Him glory by giving him our all.

The video above is not the rendition of Little Drummer Boy that I heard on the radio.  It is however a very cool rock version of it by Sean Quigley that has gone viral on YouTube.  Go ahead and take a listen!
